After the stress of interviews subsided, I got an offer for an internship!!!! It's at the same place Steven works (different city), and I gratefully took it. I will commute while he car pools with a co-worker.
I'm really excited to work, because I need a break from school. I was looking at our calender for the summer, and it looks too short! I can't believe the summer is only three months long. The semester is four and a half months long and it flies by every time. I'm going to try to savor every minute.
My plan is to work out (probably swim) in the morning, head to the job-o, then come home and relax with the hubby and play in the yard. Doesn't that sound like a prefect life! Maybe we will throw in a few visits to the Padres or my Mom over the weekend, but they will be 10 times less stressful because I won't have to be balancing school and the family. I love that work will stay at work. Oh... I can't wait.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to turn into workaholic. I can't wait for the time in my life when I can stay home with my kiddos and teach them about Jesus and gardens. However, I'm can't take classes in the summer and since we don't have a baby in the works, working is a great alternative... plus who doesn't need the extra money?
AND.... I'm excited about the end of the summer! We are taking a trip to Colorado with the Padres. We are going to hike, maybe swim, and just chill in the mountains. I LOVE the mountains. I wanted to go for our honeymoon, but Steven didn't want to deal with driving in the snow (we got married in the winter). The hill country of Texas was a great alternative. Anyway... it will for sure be a good finale for the summer.
I have such a great life. Thank you JESUS!
(((now I just have to get through finals)))
