A new trick!

I've been trying to teach John how to do this for quite a while now, and he finally got it! Oh happy day!!! It gives me hope that he will eventually start to interact with me more... especially in the sign language department. Enjoy!

  1. I love it! I'm gonna have to try to get Lucy going with that. It might not be hard since she was glued to the screen watching John. I think babies learn better from babies but that is just my theory.

Are you trying to do baby sign language too? What signs have you been doing? We are trying "change", "milk" and "kitty" so far.

  2. Yes, we are doing sign language... sorta. I mean, I'm signing to him (and have been for a few months now) but have no response other them him smiling at how goofy I look. The one we are working on is "all done." Right now to signal to me that he is done eating he will start arching his back & flipping & flopping everywhere, or playing with his toes when he is eating solids... I'm not a fan those signals (especially the first one).

I had big plans when I first started thinking about it, but until he can get "all done" I don't think I'll add anymore. Cathy does "all done" & "more" with her kids because you can apply those to other activites besides food. I think we will do "all done", "more", "eat" & hopefully "change." I would LOVE for him to get "change"... I feel like it would be a step towards potty training. But I think we still have quite a while.
